TranZed Apprenticeships have an impact beyond our programs

Since Tranzed apprentices possess an inquisitive passion for their new field, many experience an organic professional growth that extends beyond the walls of their employer and into the communities where they live or work.

Shayna, a recent apprenticeship program graduate, provides computer and career services for the nonprofit St. Frances Neighborhood Center in Baltimore. She recently refurbished 50 laptops and handed them out to youth who live in the neighborhood.

Her resourcefulness directly impacted dozens of families by removing the technology barrier many local families, unfortunately, experience during the school year. Shayna also arranged to have open office hours for members of the community to utilize the center’s computer lab for crucial career services such as completing job applications and writing resumes.

Businesses that align with environmental, social and governance (ESG) best practices benefit by building a stronger workforce through TranZed Apprenticeships’ diverse pool of candidates. Social responsibility metrics gauge how accurately staff composition reflects the community a business serves.
